Fulton Homecoming, 2011

September 19-23 was Homecoming at The Fulton School.
Each day had a different theme building up to the big game on Friday.

Monday was college day.  Of course, we all proudly sported our 'Aggie' wear.
Tuesday had a luau theme.
Wednesday was crazy hat day...
Abby's eyes crack me up in this pic.
...oh, and it was also Ben's birthday!!
Thursday was crazy sock day, but the morning was so hectic I wasn't able to get a pic. :/

Then, Friday was Ultra Falcon Spirit Day!

Ben's Big Day

We celebrated Ben's birthday a few days early this year.

He chose to have his party at Shenanagenz this year.  He invited everyone in his class, and they ALL came!
He chose a Harry Potter theme...shocker!  ;-)
Goofball!
...and little sister Abby was such a trooper!
She was squashed in the back seat on the way there...
...but she still had a smile on her face.  She also helped watch Audrey.
After Shenanagenz, we stopped by the house for a bit.
Then we headed off to dinner at Ben's favorite restaraunt...Texas Roadhouse.
They even got Ben up on a saddle and shouted a 'Yeehaw' to celebrate.
He ended his big day playing with Kali and Abby.  The birthday boy even got to stay up late.
Before he went to bed, he whispered "Thank you for my party.  It was perfect!"

I love my son!  Such a sweet, thoughtful little boy...er, young man!!

Happy 8th Birthday, Ben!

Big Week for Audrey!

Audrey hit 2 milestones in the last week.  She started crawling...
AND she said her first word!
And that word was...(drumroll...)
Mom!
LOVE that girl!!

Hello! I'm Audrey, and I am 9 months old!

I am becoming SUCH a big girl!
I can sit up on my own now, and I am VERY close to crawling.  I like to rock back and forth and I also like to crawl backwards.  Every now and then, they catch me pushing forward to crawl.  It won't be long now!!
I also love bath time.
And meal time!
Here are my 'stats' at 9 months...
  • I am 14.13  pounds, 26 1/2 inches long.
  • I am still wearing size 3 diapers, and I am into 6-12 months in clothes.
  • I love to eat cantalope and grapes in my mesh feeder, and I still love oatmeal or rice with peaches, squash or sweet potatoes.
  • I have recently started to munch on quick-dissolving fruit or veggie puffs.
  • I am learning to drink water from my sippy cup.
  • I am beginning to sit long enough to play with my 'baby laptop' or other floor toy.
  • I squeal whenever I see my big brother or big sister (I sure do love them!!)
  • I also love my animals - Daisy and Millie.
  • My favorite toy right now is probably my purple puppy, Violet.
  • I am really a happy baby.  I am so loved, and I have every reason to smile and giggle all the time!!

Welcome, Marni Lee!

On September 1, our family welcomed two new members.  We are so blessed to have had such a 'productive' year.
~wink~

Duke's cousin, Daryl, and his wife Denise welcomed their third daughter, Gia Grace.

Dixie and Chad also welcomed their second child - their first daughter, Marni Lee.

She is beautiful and perfect in every way.
Congratulations to Chad, Dixie, and big brother Jonathan!!

Beautiful, Beaming Mama
Proud (but tired) Daddy  :)

First Pep Rally of the Season

I just LOVE the fall...
The cooler weather, the changing leaves, and, of course, FOOTBALL!!

We had our first pep rally at Fulton last week.  I really love how the entire school comes out to cheer on our Falcons!!
Abby is a Junior Cheerleader again this year.  They're getting new uniforms soon.  She is SO excited.
Fulton is off to a 2-0 season, and things are looking good for this year.
Here are a few shots from the pep rally and football game.
Go Falcons!
