Silly Saturday Morning

After a successful first week of school, we decided to relax and have fun this morning. 
What better way to relax and be silly?

It's that time again...

Ben, Abby and I started back at Fulton today.

It was a bit hectic getting everyone ready this morning, but I think overall we all had a pretty good day.

We got to school early to take plenty of pictures before classes started.

Abby started her first grade year with her buddy, Abby Cobb.  They have Mrs. Cannaday this year.

8 MONTHS!!!

Holy cow!  Audrey is 8 months old today! 

She has grown her first two teeth in the past 2 weeks, and she is sitting up (for the most part) on her own!  She has recently started wearing size 3 diapers.  We have also recently started giving her foods to gnaw on like frozen waffles, Baby Mum Mums and toast.

Oh, how they've grown!

We have been so lucky to be able to spend our summers in Port Aransas.  As I was posting the last blog, I realized that I had the kids take pictures at similar places each year.  We missed last summer because we were pregnant with Audie, but the following pictures show just how much Ben and Abby have grown since 2008.

Last Minute Vacation

We were able to slip away last minute to Port Aransas this year...and what a perfect get-away it was!
We took Audrey to the beach for the first time ever.  She LOVED it.  Audrey has always been an 'outside' kind of baby, and as it turns out, she's also a 'salt water and sand' kind of baby!

She sat up pretty well on her own all nestled into the mud.  She's growing up so fast!!

We headed out to the beach the first evening we were in town.  Ben and Abby broke out the sand castle equipment immediately.

Ben and Abby are really growing up, too.  I remember three years ago when we first brought them to the beach.  They are so much bigger now! I can't believe they're going to be 1st and 2nd graders in a little over a week!  Love those guys!
We also spent time on the deck fishing and just hanging out.

...and of course, we spent a lot of time in the pool!

We also went out on the boat for a short bit. 

I found my camera!!

I never realized how therapeutic blogging is until I lost my camera (and my ability to add pictures to my blog).
I looked everywhere I could think of over the past few weeks with no luck. 
We have had a busy few weeks, and it just didn't feel right not being able to capture a moment or two with the camera.
Sure enough, when we started packing for our trip to Port A, Duke found it...in Audrey's stroller.  I guess that shows how little we've been able to take walks lately.  Even early in the morning its in the high 90's, and by 9:00 at night, its still over 100 degrees. Ouch.

At any rate, here are a few shots of the last walk we took before the camera went AWOL.
